How do I enjoy Must Be Nuts peanut butter?

Get creative! Eat it straight from the jar, spread on toast/waffles, or use as a dip for apples/graham crackers. The possibilites are endless!

Are toppings mixed throughout or just on top?

Unlike other brands who just sprinkle some toppings on plain peanut butter, all of our products have a base flavor and we carefully hand stir all ingredient throughout & add extra on top (check product photos).

What's the texture of your peanut butter?

Our peanut butter isn't quite smooth but not quite crunchy, it's more in between we like to call it Smunchy. Others are more thick like an edible cookie dough.

Are your products gluten-free?

Some flavors are gluten-free, but in our small-batch kitchen we do use gluten products and try to ensure no cross contamination with proper cleaning processes.

Where can I find nutrition information?

You can find nutrition facts on each product page. Scroll through the photos and you will find the nutrition label.

What's the shelf life?

Unopened: 6 months. Opened: 30 days (but let's be real, it won't last that long).

Why does my peanut butter have oil on top?

We do not add any preservatives to our peanut butter and it is common to see oil on top of natural peanut butters. Some flavors gain more oil than others depending on the consistency and mix-ins.

Where did my toppings go?

Rarely, shipping heat and jostling may mix our carefully hand-placed toppings into the product. Rest assured, this doesn't compromise quality or safety or flavor of your product.

Do I need to refrigerate my peanut butter?

Nope! Our peanut butters are shelf-stable. Refrigeration affects quality. 

Wrong address on my order. What do I do?

I don't like my product...can I exchange/return it?

We strive for customer satisfaction!
Unfortunately, as a small batch company, we cannot accept returns or exchanges and all sales are final. We work hard to strive for customer satisfaction, but unfortunately we do not offer refunds due to:

  • Taste preference: If you do not like butterscotch/white chocolate etc..., we recommend you order a flavor you are more likely to enjoy!
  • You don't like the taste: While we don't hear this often, we understand we all have different tastes!
  • You don't like the texture: Our base flavors (All natural peanut butter, White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, and Butterscotch) will be similar to traditional peanut butter. All other flavors are meant to be eaten with a spoon and are more like an edible cookie dough (with the benefit of some protein). Many flavors can be quite thick!
  • It doesn't look like the photos on the website: While each jar looks like the website photos when produced, settling may happen as a result being shipped. In the summer months, toppings may melt. Unfortunately, we have no control over package handling throughout the shipping system or the temperatures where the product is being delivered.

We're happy to replace your product with another flavor for the cost of shipping a new jar to you.

Order shipment and timeline:

As a small batch peanut butter company, we:
- Make our products fresh daily -we do have a 2 week shipping window but once ordered you can expect an email update with tracking information once your order ships, typically 5-7 days from your order date.

Do you ship outside the US?

We currently do not, hopefully we will be able to in the future.

My jar seal is broken. Is it safe to eat?

Our hand-sealing process is not foolproof. Rarely, seals may:

- Not stick completely
- Lift when opening

Summer Shipping Notice

- Heat-sensitive ingredients may melt during shipping (May-September)
- Hand-placed toppings may mix or melt
- Orders placed during summer are at your own risk
- We're not responsible for packages left outside after delivery

Why is shipping expensive?

We wish it was cheaper too! Unfortunately, peanut butter is heavy and expensive to ship and what we charge you to ship your product is often less than what we actually pay.

Package says delivered but missing.

If you believe your package was stolen or delivered incorrectly, please reach out to USPS directly. Once your order is given to USPS, that package and its delivery are outside our control. To file a claim with USPS, please visit www.usps.com/help/claims.htm or call their customer care center at 800-222-1811.

My package was damaged in transit. What do I do?

All USPS Priority and Ground Mail shipments carry $100 insurance for damage. If you receive a damaged package, you will need to submit a claim on the USPS website here: https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm
Do NOT throw your package away, as you may need to provide proof to USPS that your package was damaged in transit.

Question My order is wrong or an item is missing. What do I do?
