Frequently Asked Questions
How do I enjoy Must Be Nuts peanut butter?
Get creative! Enjoy it straight from the jar, spread it on toast, waffles, pancakes, or bagels, or use it as a dip for apples, pretzels, graham crackers, and more. The possibilities are endless!
Are the toppings mixed throughout or just on top?
Unlike many brands that simply sprinkle toppings on plain peanut butter, every flavor starts with its own unique flavored base. We carefully hand-stir all of the mix-ins throughout the jar and finish each one with extra toppings on top. (See product photos!)
What's the texture of your peanut butter?
Our signature texture is called Smunchy not quite smooth and not quite crunchy.
Our all-natural, white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and butterscotch bases have a texture similar to traditional peanut butter. Many of our dessert-inspired flavors are thicker and best enjoyed with a spoon, almost like edible cookie dough.
Do you offer a sampler?
Yes! Our Peanut Butter Flight includes four 8 oz jars of our top-selling signature flavors. It's the perfect way to discover your favorites or share with family and friends.
Are your products gluten-free?
Several of our flavors are gluten-free. However, our small-batch kitchen also processes gluten-containing ingredients. We ensure everything is clean and sanitized between all small-batches so no cross contamination happens.
Where can I find nutrition information?
Nutrition Facts can be found on each product page. Simply scroll through the product photos to view the nutrition label.
What's the shelf life?
-
Unopened: Best enjoyed within 6 months (check best by date on the jar)
-
Opened: Best enjoyed within 30 days.
(But let's be honest... it probably won't last that long.)
Why does my peanut butter have oil on top?
That's completely normal!
We don't add preservatives or stabilizers, so natural peanut oil separation is expected. Simply stir before enjoying if needed. Some flavors naturally develop more oil than others depending on the ingredients and mix-ins.
Where did my toppings go?
Shipping, heat, and normal package handling can occasionally cause our carefully hand-placed toppings to settle into the peanut butter.
Don't worry nothing is missing! The flavor, quality, and safety of your peanut butter are not affected.
Do I need to refrigerate my peanut butter?
Nope! Our peanut butter is shelf-stable and best stored at room temperature. Refrigeration can affect the texture and overall quality.
I entered the wrong shipping address. What should I do?
Email yummy@mustbenuts.com as soon as possible.
If your order hasn't shipped, we'll do our best to update the address.
I don't like my product. Can I exchange or return it?
Because our peanut butter is handcrafted in small batches and is a perishable food product, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. All sales are final.

Can I cancel or change my order?
Orders may be canceled or modified within 24 hours of purchase.
After 24 hours, production may have already begun, so we're unable to guarantee changes or cancellations.
Where do you ship from?
Every jar is handcrafted in our small-batch kitchen in Bluffdale, Utah.
We also offer FREE local pickup in Bluffdale.
When will my order ship?
Every jar is made fresh after you order.
Our official shipping window is up to 2 weeks, but most orders ship within 3–5 business days. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes! We proudly ship to Canada.
Please note that duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and other import charges are not included in your shipping cost and are the responsibility of the recipient. These fees must be paid before your package can be delivered.
If a package is refused by customs or the recipient declines to pay the required import fees, the shipment may be abandoned or destroyed by the carrier. Because of this, we are unable to issue refunds or replacements for refused international orders.
By placing an international order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
My jar seal has oil on it or came apart when I opened it. Is my peanut butter safe?
Yes!
Because our peanut butter contains no added preservatives or stabilizers, natural peanut oil may separate during shipping. Occasionally, that oil can saturate the pressure-sensitive seal, which may cause:
- Oil on the seal
- The seal to lift or separate during removal
- A small amount of peanut butter to stick to the seal
As long as the lid was securely attached and the jar arrived unopened, your peanut butter is safe to enjoy. This is an occasional cosmetic issue with natural peanut butter and does not affect the quality or safety of the product.
If you have any concerns, email yummy@mustbenuts.com.
My jars arrived with melted chocolate. What happened?
During warmer months (May–September), chocolate and other heat-sensitive ingredients may soften or melt during shipping. Hand-placed toppings may also settle or mix into the peanut butter, and natural oil separation may increase.
While the appearance of your peanut butter may change, it is still safe to enjoy and the quality and flavor are not affected. Simply store your jar at room temperature or in a cool place and give it a good stir if needed.
To help preserve your peanut butter, we recommend bringing your package inside as soon as possible after delivery.
While we package every order with care, we cannot control shipping temperatures or packages left outdoors after delivery.
Why is shipping so expensive?
Peanut butter is heavy, and we package with care to prevent damage. All orders over $70 ship free!
